Mógū grow and processes medicinal and gourmet mushrooms with innovative in-house technology.

We put together a financial model to accurately predict how much money will be spent over the course of the first 5 years of the business, as well as revenue expected from the different streams. The model allows the user to make changes to dozens of assumptions and see the numbers reflect the change, allowing for data-driven decisions.

We also designed a pitch deck which allowed the startup to successfully raise fund from investors.

This was a new business in a market that was never exposed to gourmet or medicinal mushrooms before. There were a lot of moving parts and assumptions that needed to be validated for the financial model to add up, and for the pitch deck to tell a compelling – and true – story. Based on the research made and the numbers in the financial model, the founders were able to decide which products to begin with, how to price, and who to hire (and in what order).
